It’s your home, so let us know when you’re coming and we can block the dates and keep it just for you.  When you’re there you can take advantage of the Concierge too – from getting ready for a celebration, to booking a hire car – just let us know…

Frequently asked questions

How quickly will you be able to set up our property?

On average, less than 3 days.  We will come to your property to take pictures and discuss seasonal rates & availability.  We will firstly place the property on our website for you to approve.  If you’re happy, we will then go on to apply this to our online partner sites and advertise the property through social media, on the web and in print.  We can also design you a website and link all of this together to really get you some fantastic results.

How do payments to owners work?

You will receive a payment every other week.  This will be sent automatically, so when we say it’s a Wednesday – it will be a Wednesday.  It’s part of our owner transparency, so if you have any questions – just let us know.

We already have a cleaner. Can we still use them?

Yes of course, we have no problem with this after all it’s your property.  We understand how important good people are.  If you do not have a cleaner we can manage this for you.  They will come to your home and issue a separate quote per clean.  This can include linen, towels and any extras if you need these supplied.

We live away and have a large lawn and garden, how do we deal with this?

If you’re unable to keep it as neat as you’d like, or if it needs extra attention our team can arrange a one-off or regular visits from gardeners and professionals.  Remember, we can even ensure seasonal plants and hanging baskets are maintained – it’s all up to you how much you would like us to do for you.

We would like our property checked over in the winter. Can you do this?

Absolutely.  If you sign up with Osprey Holiday Cottages, our team check on our portfolio of holiday lettings on a weekly basis.  We can let you know of any issues straight away and can arrange repairs & maintenance as required too.

Do we provide our own bed clothes & towels for guests to use?

We believe that all white linen and towels is best for your guests to use.  This looks more professional and less like you’re in someone elses bed.  We will quote you for the use of our bedding and you can choose the right way for you.  Remember, if you provide your own bedding, you will need at least two sets of bed clothes and two sets of mattress protectors.

We like to use the cottage ourselves here and there, is this still OK to do?

Absolutely.  We want you to enjoy your property.  All that we ask for you to let us know as soon as you can about important weeks.  And as for the weekends if they are free we can block them for you.  Remember, that if you cancel a guest’s booking there may be a penalty depending on how the guest booked.

Our current/previous holiday lettings management company had to be chased for payments and information about guests. What's different about Osprey Holiday Cottages?

We will supply all our owners with login details to our website which will give you all the information you may need, such as your booking calender and payment schedule.  You can also request extras on this site as you prefer and even amend your payment information to ensure prompt payment.

We don't want a keysafe at our property - can you arrange a 'meet and greet'?

Yes of course, we love to meet and greet guests on our owners’ behalf.  While we think keyboxes are a great asset as guests can come and go as they please, they’re not for everyone and it’s your choice.  This may be impacted by Coronavirus restrictions and some guests will prefer a ‘contact-free’ check-in.

Can we keep our personal items at the house?

Yes, although we would recommend a lockable cupboard/wardrobe which you can store things in.  You should always ensure your insurance policy covers these items too.
