About this holiday accommodation
Shell Cottage on the fantastic Isle of Portland in Dorset was new to us for the Summer of 2021. The cottage is located within the village of Easton, Portland, Dorset.
The cottage has a generous downstairs living area, with a separate dining area and kitchen. A beautiful, peaceful private garden awaits with lawn and patio area. Somewhere to kick back after a day exploring the wonderful Jurassic Coast!
Upstairs, the cottage has a double bedroom at the front of the house and a large bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds.
As it is located in Easton, the house is just a few minutes away from everything you might need. Grocery shops are within walking distance, alongside cafes and takeaways. Those venturing on the water are just a few minutes away from the Weymouth & Portland Sailing Academy, marina, port and water sports centres. It’s also handy for climbing holidays, trekking and exploring an island in the heart of the Jurassic Coast.
If you’d like to visit Weymouth and don’t want to take the car, a bus stop is just 30 seconds away with a regular service every 10 minutes throughout the day. This also makes it great if you are visiting by train.
Other things to note
Shell Cottage is a very old, traditional Portland Stone cottage. The stairs up to the top floor are narrow and steep. This may not be suitable for children, especially without supervision.

Very sweet place with backyard

Characterful stay in a comfortable traditional stone cottage. Within easy reach of Easton Square shops and found a parking space each day. Excellent communication from host.

This worked well for us during a short family stay. The cottage was comfortable and well appointed. Phillippa was very helpful. We also enjoyed a night at the friendly local pub the george which was 10 minutes walk away.
