Home from Home house is exactly what it is, your home from home. A perfect house for families or group stays, the house has been completely renovated to suit the needs of its guests. Beautifully designed bedrooms and a great entertaining kitchen dining space await, whatever the reason.
The house is really well located for the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy as well as marina, and you’re not far from climbing sites on the island.
If you’re looking to explore further afield, you can follow the coastal path and walk the up to Tout Sculpture Park. You can also take the coastal path around the entire island. While it takes about 4 hours, the views are breath-taking during both good and bad weather!
You’re close to takeaways, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets too – so whatever you need during your stay, it’s all there.
As a special memento, the house also features local art which is available to purchase at the end of your stay too.

Second time at {Osprey Holiday Cottages} place, great location and plenty of space! -
Very nice place. The kitchen was well equipped with a large new fridge freezer, excellent oven and induction hobs, and plenty of storage space for food. Large TV with Netflix etc in the lounge. More bedrooms than I needed but perfect for families.

A group of eight, including a toddler, stayed at Philippa’s over New Year’s Eve in 2023. It was a great base for coastal walks and exploring Portland (despite the December storms!). The house is really warm and cosy, well equipped with kitchen equipment, DVDs and other necessities. The four bedrooms were all comfy and tastefully decorated with local artwork which was also available to buy. The long galley dining area was was great and big enough for all eight of us. The area is well connected and links to some lovely walks but it is very hilly. Parking was also a bit tricky but we always found a space in one of local free carparks eventually. Overall a lovely place to stay and excellent value for money.
